(St. Louis, MO) - In the National League Tuesday, Carlos Beltran hit a 3 run homer and finished with four RBIs in the St. Louis Cardinals 10-4 win over the New York Mets at Busch Stadium.
Beltran drove in two-runs on a single in the third-inning and later gave St. Louis a 9-to-nothing lead with his tenth home run of the season.
John Gast won his major league debut by holding the Mets scoreless until the sixth inning.
St. Louis is 25-13 and play the Mets again tonight at 8:15.
