Beltran Leads Cards To Comeback Win

(St. Louis, MO) - In Major League Baseball Wednesday, Carlos Beltran ignited an eighth inning rally in the St. Louis Cardinals' 5-3 comeback victory over the Kansas City Royals at Busch Stadium.

The Royals led 3-1 in the bottom of-the-eighth inning when Beltran hit a solo shot to right field, his twelfth home run of the season.

David Freese tied the game later in the inning with an RBI single and Daniel Descalso completed the rally with a two-run single that gave the Cardinals a 5-3 lead.

The Cardinals are 35-17 and finish their interleague series against the Royals tonight at Busch Stadium.

First pitch is at 8:15.
