(undated) - In the National League Sunday, Bronson Arroyo won for the first time since mid-April in the Cincinnati Reds’ 5-1 win over the Milwaukee Brewers at Great American Ballpark in Cincinnati.
Arroyo improved to 3-4 on the season after pitching six and-two-thirds innings of shutout baseball against Milwaukee.
Rookie Donald Lutz hit a three-run homer in the second-inning, the first of his Major League career, in giving Cincinnati an early 3-0 lead.
The Reds are 22-16 and two games behind the St. Louis Cardinals for first place in the division.
They begin a three-game series at the Miami Marlins Tuesday.
