(undated) - In the National League Monday, the Cincinnati Reds outlasted the Chicago Cubs in a wild 13-inning contest in beating their NL Central counterparts 5-4 at Great American Ballpark.
Luis Valbuena gave the Cubs a 4-2 lead in the top of the thirteenth inning with a two run blast to the right field seats.
Jay Bruce tied the game for the Reds in their next at bat with a two run double to the right-centerfield gap, and Cesar Izturis drove in Bruce two batters later to give Cincinnati their seventh win in eight games.
