(Cleveland, OH) - In the American League Thursday, the Boston Red Sox completed a three game sweep of the Cleveland Indians with a 6-3 win at Progressive Field.
Jon Lester improved to 3-0 in three starts by holding the Indians to 2 runs over 7 innings pitched.
The Red Sox will return home for a weekend series against the Kansas City Royals, their first game with the home crowd since Monday's bombings at the Boston Marathon.
Cleveland is 5-9 on the year and open a three game series tonight at the Houston Astros. First pitch is at 8:10.
