Oladipo Headed To The NBA

Last updated on Tuesday, April 9, 2013

(UNDATED) - One of the most popular Hoosier basketball players in the last several years has decided to go to the NBA. Junior Victor Oladipo announced Tuesday that he will forego his senior season and enter the NBA Draft.

Oladipo said "To be an Indiana Hoosier means so much to me and I'll always be an Indiana Hoosier." Coach Tom Crean says Oladipo's hard work in his three years in Bloomington have given him choices, and he added no other player deserves those choices any more than Oladipo. Crean said he could coach another 30 years and may not again see the type of improvement that Oladipo showed over the past year.

Oladipo recently received a slew of national awards: NABC Co-Defensive Player of the Year, Big Ten Defensive Player of the Year, Sporting News National Player of the Year, and 1st Team All-American.

Oladipo will actually graduate from IU in just three years. The ceremony will be held on his birthday, May 4th.
