Indians And Royals Split A Double Header

(Kansas City, MO) - In the American League Sunday, the Cleveland Indians and Kansas City Royals split a double-header at Kauffman Stadium, with the Royals taking game one 9-0.

Justin Masterson left the game in the seventh inning after allowing seven runs on nine hits and four walks.

The Indians later recovered behind the bat of Mike Aviles with a 10-3 win over the Royals in game two.

Aviles finished with a career high 5-RBIs and homered in the third inning to give the Indians a 5-0 lead.

Cleveland is 9-13 and will finish their series against the Royals tonight at 8:10.
