Cubs Snap Three Game Skid With Win Over Rangers

(Chicago, IL) In Major League Baseball Thursday, the Chicago Cubs ended a three game losing streak with a 6-2 win over the Texas Rangers at Wrigley Field.

A 2 run shot by Anthony Rizzo and Alfonso Soriano's first home run of the year highlighted a contest that was continuously threatened by the torrential rains that blanketed the Midwest.

Carlos Villanueva earned his first win of the year after a 7 inning, 6 strikeout performance. The Cubs are 5-and-9 and open a weekend series at the Milwaukee Brewers tonight.
