Cubs Beat Padres To Pick Up Fifth Win In Last Seven Games

(Chicago, IL) - In the National League Monday, Darwin Barney and Cody Ransom kept the Chicago Cubs rolling with a 5-3 win over the San Diego Padres at Wrigley Field.

Ransom hit back to back home runs with Scott Hairston in the second inning and broke a 3-3 tie in the sixth with an RBI single.

Barney's second run scoring double of the game came in the sixth inning to make it 5-3.

The Cubs have won five of their last seven games and resume their series against the Padres tonight at 8:05.
