Last updated on Monday, April 29, 2013

(Washington DC) - In the National League Sunday, Tom Cingrani struck out a career high 11 batters during the Cincinnati Reds 5-2 win over the Washington Nationals at Nationals Park.

Cingrani held Washington scoreless through six innings and fanned four in the fourth when Denard Span reached base on a strikeout and wild pitch.

Danny Espinosa doubled in the Nationals' next at bat, but Cingrani settled down to strike out the next three and held on to win his second game of the year.

The Reds are 14-12 and open a three game series at the St. Louis Cardinals tonight.

First pitch at 8:10.
