Cardinals Let Late Lead Slip Away

(Philadelphia, PA) - In the National League Sunday, the St. Louis Cardinals saw a one-run lead in the seventh-inning slip away in losing to the Philadelphia Phillies, 7-3 at Citizens Bank Park in Philadelphia.

Laynce Nix tied the game at 3-3 with an RBI double in the seventh, and Erik Kratz broke the game open in the eighth with a 3 run homer to left field.

The Cardinals are 10-8 and open a 3 game set at the Washington Nationals tonight.

First pitch is at 7:05.
