Buherle Knocks Off White Sox In First Start Against Former Team

(Toronto, ON) - In the American League Monday, Mark Buherle pitched into the seventh inning in his first career start against his former team in leading the Toronto Blue Jays over the Chicago White Sox, 4-3 at Rogers Centre in Toronto.

Buherle was roughed-up in his first two starts with the Blue Jays but won his first game of the season after holding the Southsiders to 2 runs on 9 hits.

He was a staple in the White Sox pitching rotation for 12 seasons and won a world championship with Chicago in 2005.

The White Sox have lost six of their last seven games and continue their series in Toronto at 7:05 tonight.
