Last updated on Wednesday, April 24, 2013

(Cincinnati, OH) - In the National League Tuesday, the Chicago Cubs scored a pair of runs in the top of the tenth inning to sink the Cincinnati Reds 4-2 at Great American Ballpark.

Darwin Barney helped rescue the Cubs in the tenth with his first home run of the season and Dave Sappelt later hit an RBI single for an insurance run.

The Cubs had a 2-1 lead entering the bottom of the ninth, but Carlos Marmol served up the game tying single to Joey Votto in recording the second straight blown save by the Chicago bullpen.

Tony Cingrani struck out nine in 7-innings in his second career big league start.
