Notre Dame To Honor Seniors Tonight

Last updated on Tuesday, March 5, 2013

(South Bend, IN) - The 24th ranked Notre Dame Fighting Irish look to beat the St. John’s Red Storm for the first time in four tries tonight at the Joyce Center in South Bend.

Standout forward Jack Cooley had the flu during a 72-to-64 loss against the Marquette Golden Eagles last weekend and failed to score in his fifteen minutes of action.

Cooley and a group of seniors will be honored tonight in their final home game of their college career and will face a St. John's team that's minus their best player.

D'Angelo Harrison, the third leading scorer in the Big-East Conference, was suspended for the remainder of the season Friday by head coach Steve Lavin.

The school did not provide a reason for the suspension.

The Fighting Irish are fifth in the Big-East at 10-6, just one spot off from receiving a double-bye in next week's Big-East Conference tournament.

The Red Storm have lost four of their last five games, including a 62-59 loss at the Providence Friars Saturday.

Tipoff tonight is at 7:00.
