Granger To Miss The Remainder Of Season

(Indianapolis, IN) - Pacers’ forward Danny Granger will undergo surgery on his left knee and miss the rest of-the-season, the team announced Thursday.

Medical staff made the decision to operate after exhausiting all other treatment options for Granger but expect the Pacers' five time scoring leader to return healthy at the start of training camp later this year.

Granger originally suffered the injury in the Eastern Conference semi-finals last season and was later diagnosed with patellar tendinitis, a perpetual injury that can be relived, but not necessarliy cured, by a number of treatments.

The Pacers' are in the running for the Eastern Conference two-seed and defeated the Dallas Mavericks Thursday night.
