Clark And Woods Lead Butler Past UMass

(Amherst, MA) - The Butler Bulldogs ended a two game losing streak by beating the Massachusetts Minutemen, 73-62 at William D. Mullins Center in Amherst, Massachusetts.

Rotnei Clark and Cameron Woods scored 17 points each for Butler and Andrew Smith had 13 points and 15 boards on the evening.

Butler are tied with the Temple Owls for the fourth best record in the Atlantic-10, with the top four seeds receiving byes into the quarterfinal round of next week's conference tournament.

Massachusetts is 18-10 overall, 8-7 in the Atlantic-10 Conference, and conclude the regular season tomorrow at the Rhode Island Rams.

The Bulldogs are 23-7 overall, 10-5 in the A-10, and finish their conference schedule at home Saturday against the Xavier Musketeers.
