(undated) - The Purdue Boilermakers will host the Western Illinois Leathernecks in the opening round of the College Basketball Invitational Tournament at Mackey Arena.

The Boilermakers, 15-17 overall, punctuated a subpar season with an early exit from the Big-Ten Tournament last week, a 57-55 loss to the underdog Nebraska Cornhuskers.

Western Illinois finished 22-8 after losing to the North Dakota State Bison, 55-43 in the Summit League Semi-Finals on March 11th.

Tipoff tonight in West Lafayette is at 7:00.

The Indiana State Sycamores travel to the Iowa Hawkeyes for this evening's opening round matchup in the NIT.

The Sycamores, 18-14 overall, look poised to make the NCAA Tournament before losing six of-their last-eight games, including a 64-43 defeat to the Creighton Blue Jays in the Missouri Valley Conference Tournament Semi-Finals.

Iowa finished the season 21-12 overall after losing to the Michigan State Spartans last week in the Big-Ten Tournament quarterfinals.

Tipoff tonight in Iowa City is at 7:00.
