(Syracuse, NY) - The Notre Dame Fighting Irish were overpowered in a 63-47 loss to the number-nine Syracuse Orange at Carrier Dome in Syracuse.

Jerian Grant led the Fighting Irish with 15 points and five assists.
Jack Cooley was limited in his touches by the Syracuse defense in settling for 10 points and 11 rebounds for Notre Dame.
The Orange are 19-3 overall, first in the Big East with a 7-2 record, and host the St. John's Red Storm this weekend.
Notre Dame is 18-5 overall, 6-4 in the conference, and host the number-12 Louisville Cardinals Saturday.
