Last updated on Tuesday, February 26, 2013

(undated) - The Indiana Hoosiers maintained their number-one ranking in the latest USA Today Coaches poll.

The Hoosiers received 28 first place votes and were only three votes away from securing the number-one ranking by a unanimous decision.

The Hoosiers won their only meeting in the last polling cycle, a 72-68 victory over the number-five Michigan State Spartans in East Lansing.

The Gonzaga Bulldogs are the number-two team in the nation, followed by the Duke Blue Devils, Michigan Wolverines, and Kansas Jayhawks.

The Notre Dame Fighting Irish jumped five spots to number 20 after beating the Cincinnati Bearcats and number 22 Pittsburgh Panthers in the last polling cycle.

The Butler Bulldogs were slotted number 21 after a four point loss to the A-10 Conference leading Saint Louis Billikens at Hinkle Fieldhouse last Saturday night.

Saint Louis entered the USA Today-Coaches poll at number 19 and lead Butler by a game and a half for first place in the conference.
