Hoosiers Expected To Reclaim Top Spot In The Polls

(undated) - The third-ranked Indiana Hoosiers are expected to reclaim their number-one pre-season ranking when the new USA Today/Coaches poll is released this afternoon.

The Hoosiers defeated the number-two Michigan Wolverines in an 81-73 thriller Saturday night at Assembly Hall.

The Kansas Jayhawks, the top ranked team in the nation, lost to the Oklahoma State Cowboys, 85-80 on their home court in Lawrence, Kansas on the same night.

The Hoosiers are 20-2 overall, 8-1 in the Big Ten Conference, and travel to the Illinois Fighting Illini Thursday night.
