Granger's Long Awaited Return Could Happen Tonight

Last updated on Wednesday, February 13, 2013

(Indianapolis, IN) - Danny Granger could make his much anticipated return to the lineup tonight when the Indiana Pacers host the Charlotte Bobcats at Bankers Life Fieldhouse.

Granger has reported no significant issues in full contact workouts and could make his debut after missing the entire season with tendinitis in his left knee.

Pacers head coach, Frank Vogel, said that Granger will come off the bench for several games before returning to the starting lineup.

Indiana had won 15 consecutive games at home before losing in overtime Friday to the Toronto Raptors.

They were stunned again at the Fieldhouse Monday night with another overtime loss, 89-84 to the Brooklyn Nets.

Indiana is third in the Eastern Conference with a 31-21 record entering tonight's game.

Charlotte has one win against two losses to the Pacers, including a one point victory in their season opener in Charlotte.

The Bobcats defeated the Boston Celtics Monday, 94-91, in raising their season mark to 12-39 and winning their first game in eight tries.

Tipoff tonight is at 7:00.
