(Baltimore, MD) - Three of Baltimore’s top defenders could be on the field together for the first time this season when the Colts and Ravens meet in the AFC Wildcard Round Sunday.
According to the Ravens website, the team is waiting until the last possible moment to reveal if linebacker Ray Lewis can play for the first time since a triceps injury landed him on injured reserve in mid-October.
Lewis, a lock for the Hall of Fame, was expected to miss the rest of season, but will likely play against the Colts after announcing his retirement yesterday.
The 37-year old defensive captain could make his final appearance in a Ravens uniform after a 17 year career with Baltimore and 13 pro-bowl selections.
Linebacker Terrell Suggs is the Ravens all-time sack leader and was a full-go in practice Wednesday after missing last weekend's game with a biceps injury.
Fort Wayne native Bernard Pollard has missed the last three games at the strong safety position but is expected to play Sunday.
Vontae Davis was honored with the AFC defensive player of the week award for his two interception performance in the Colts 28-16 win over the Texans.
Davis joins Darius Butler and Cassius Vaughn as the third corner from Indianapolis to win the award this year.
