Last updated on Tuesday, January 8, 2013

(Indianapolis, IN) - Two of the best in the Eastern Conference square off tonight when the defending champion Miami Heat visit the Indiana Pacers at Bankers Life Fieldhouse.

Miami eliminated Indiana last season in game six of the conference semi-finals and have the best record in the East at 23-9.

The Pacers have put together a solid campaign without Danny Granger and carry the fourth best record in the conference at 20-14.

Granger is expected to return early next month after missing the entire season with patellar tendentious in his left knee.

Indiana signed journeyman forward Dominic McGuire to a ten day contract yesterday.

McGuire was drafted by the Washington Wizards in 2010 and most recently averaged just over two points and three rebounds a game for the New Orleans Hornets.

Tip-off tonight is at 7:00.
