(South Bend, IN) - Brian Kelly has reportedly turned down an offer to join the Philadelphia Eagles and will stay on as head coach of the Notre Dame Fighting Irish.

ESPN reports that Kelly is negotiating to extend his contract with the university following their unexpected 12-0 season and run to the national title game.

Kelly had been linked to the Eagles after a Tuesday meeting produced "mutual interest" from the two parties.

Kelly is 28-11 in three seasons with Notre Dame.
