(Terre Haute, IN) - The Indiana State Sycamores fended off a second half surge by the Illinois State Redbirds to win 77-75 at the Hulman Center in Terre Haute.

A last second 3-pointer by Illinois State's Nick Zeisloft was errant and Indiana State held on to go 1-and-oh in the Missouri Valley Conference and 8-4 overall.

Jake Odum followed his game winning shot against Miami in the Diamondhead Classic with a 17 point, six assist performance against the Redbirds.

Justin Gant had 18 points and 11 rebounds to lead all scorers for the Sycamores and Jon Ekey had 16 points for Illinois State.

The Sycamores play again Wednesday against the 7-6 Northern Iowa Panthers at the Hulman Center.
