(Indianapolis, IN) - In high school football, Jaylon Smith of Fort Wayne Bishop Luers has won the Indianapolis Star Mr. Football award.
Smith played running back and linebacker on four, class 2A state championship teams for the Knights and received 23 votes for the award.
He will spend his college career with the Notre Dame Fighting Irish.
Warren Central's Tim kimbrough was the runner up with 11 votes, and Sam Schrader of Mishawaka came in third with five votes.
