(South Bend, IN) - The Number-21 Notre Dame Fighting Irish moved to 2-0 on the season with an 84-57 over the Monmouth Hawks.
Junior Garrick Sherman came off the bench to score 22 points in 22 minutes and added nine rebounds for Notre Dame, and Jack Cooley scored 16 points on 8-12 shooting and added nine rebounds at the Joyce Center.
The Fighting Irish out-rebounded the Hawks 42-to-24 but only shot 61 percent from the free throw line.
Notre Dame play Friday against the Saint Joseph's Hawks at the Joyce Center.
