Last updated on Monday, October 15, 2012

(East Rutherford, NJ) The Indianapolis Colts were completely ineffective at containing the run and were buried for 252 rushing yards during a 35-9 dismantling at the hands of the New York Jets.

Shonn Greene ran through the Colts defense for 161 yards and three scores and Joe McKnight had 71 yards on just three carries, including a backbreaking 61 yard dash that setup New York's fourth score of the game.

Andrew Luck finished with 280 passing yards on 44 attempts and accounted for three of the four turnovers by the Colts.

Reggie Wayne had five catches for 87 yards and was blanketed by Antonio Cromartie for most of the afternoon.

Cromartie had two interceptions for touchdowns nullified because of defensive penalties.

Rookie Vick Ballard and Delone Carter were unproductive in relief of the injured Donald Brown, and helped combine for 41 rushing yards compared to the Jets 252.

New York is 3-3 and travel to Foxborough next Sunday for a game against the New England Patriots.

The Colts stumbled to 2-3 and host the 1-4 Cleveland Browns next weekend.
