(Ridgeway, VA) Dale Earnhardt Jr. will be on the track this weekend at Martinsville Speedway when the Chase for the Sprint Cup resumes.
Earnhardt Jr has been cleared by doctors to run the last four Sprint Cup events in the 2012 season after missing the last two races because a concussion suffered at Talladega Superspeedway.
Brad Keselowski has a seven point lead over five-time champion Jimmie Johnson on the points table. Denny Hamlin is third in points, followed by Clint Bowyer, Kasey Kahne, and Martin Truex Jr.
Defending Sprint Cup champion Tony Stewart and Jeff Gordon hold down the seventh and eighth positions on the table, and last week's winner, Matt Kenseth, is ninth.
Practice and qualifying on the half mile oval are Friday, and the Tums Fast Relief 500 is Sunday at 1:00.
