(Chicago, IL) - The Chicago White Sox remain a game ahead of Detroit in the AL Central after getting bombed at home by the Minnesota Twins 18-9.

The Twins scored seven runs in the second inning, with all of those runs being charged to Sox starter Jose Quintana, and ten runs in the fifth.

Phillip Humber, who threw a perfect game earlier this season, was charged with eight earned runs in just one-third of an inning.

Chicago's most effective pitcher on the evening was arguably outfielder Dewayne Wise, who allowed a hit and a walk in pitching a scoreless ninth.

Wise would also drive in two runs for the White Sox.

Chris Parmelee homered and drove in four for Minnesota with Ryan Doumit and Eduardo Escobar knocking in three runs each.
