PGA Tour Is Hoosier Bound For The BMW Championship

(Carmel, IN) - The PGA Tour is at Crooked Stick Golf Club in Carmel this week for the BMW Championship.

A practice round is scheduled for today with the Pro-Am on Wednesday. The first of the four rounds of the Tournament is on Thursday.

This weekend's event is the third of four tournaments making up the FedEx Cup.

The top 70 players in the world will compete at Crooked Stick with the top 30 in FedEx Cup points after Sunday's final round advancing to the Tour Championship at East Lake Golf Club in Atlanta in two weeks.

Rory McIlroy heads to this week's event coming off a win at the Deutche Bank Championship in suburban Boston to move into first place in FedEx Cup points.

Nick Watney is second with Brandt Snedeker, Tiger Woods and Louis Oosthuizen rounding out the top five.

Richmond, Indiana native Bo Van Pelt is currently 20th in points while former Indiana University golfer Jeff Overton has some work to do as he enters the weekend ranked 40th.
