Last updated on Monday, September 10, 2012

(Pittsburgh, PA) - The Chicago Cubs completed a three-game series sweep of struggling Pittsburgh, beating the Pirates 4-2 at PNC Park.

Andrew McCutchen put the Pirates on top with a solo homer in the first.

Cub rookies Joe Vitters and Anthony Recker hit solo shots off Jeff Locke in the fourth to put Chicago up 2-1.

Recker's homer was the first of his career.

Pittsburgh tied the game when Brock Holt scored on a balk by Cubs pitcher James Russell in the seventh, but Alfonso Soriano drove in what proved to be the winning runs with a two-run blast off Jason Grilli in the eighth.
