(St. Louis, MO) - Adam Wainwright fired a complete-game five-hitter as the St. Louis Cardinals shut out the Houston Astros 7-0.
Wainwright threw 105 pitches in recording his seventh-career complete game, walking one and striking out twelve to improve to 12-10.
Yadier Molina and Skip Schumaker drove in two runs each as the Cardinals jumped on Houston starter Lucas Harrell for six runs over five innings.
Harrell falls to 10-9 on the season as the Astros have lost five games in a row. St. Louis remains eight games behind Cincinnati in the NL Central.
