Edwin Encarnacion gave Toronto a 1-0 lead with an RBI single off Chicago starter Jake Peavy.

Adam Dunn tied the game in the fourth with a solo home run off Carlos Villanueva. Rookie Moises Sierra put the Jays back in front when he touched Peavy for a solo shot. It is the first home run of Sierra's career.

Dunn forced extra innings with his second solo homer of the night, this one coming in the top of the ninth off Casey Janssen.
