Cueto Silences Cubs As Reds Roll To Another Win

(Chicago, IL) - Johnny Cueto picked up his 15th win of the year as the Cincinnati Reds blanked the Chicago Cubs 3-0.

Cueto went eight innings, allowing three hits in moving to 15-6.

Jay Bruce put Cincinnati on the scoreboard with a two-run home run in the fifth inning and Ryan Ludwick added a solo shot in the sixth.

Aroldis Chapman came on to relieve in the ninth and allowed a leadoff single to Darwin Barney before retiring the next three Cubs to get his 28th save.

After dropping Thursday night's opener, the Reds won the final three games to take the series.

Cincinnati's lead over Pittsburgh remains at four and-a-half games as the Pirates avoided being swept at home by San Diego.
