(Philadelphia, PA) - Bronson Arroyo gave up three hits in eight-plus innings of work as the Cincinnati Reds defeated the Philadelphia Phillies 3-2.

The Reds jumped out to a 2-0 lead in the top of the fifth on RBI singles from Drew Stubbs and Ryan Ludwick.

The Phillies got one run back in the bottom of the fifth on Dominic Brown's first home run of the year.

Jay Bruce hit a solo shot off reliever Josh Lindblom in the eighth to give Cincinnati a 3-1 lead.

Arroyo gave up a leadoff single to Kevin Frandsen in the ninth and was relieved by Aroldis Chapman.

Chapman allowed Frandsen to score on a single by Ty Wigginton but retired Chase Utley and Ryan Howard to collect his 31st save.

Arroyo was charged with both Philadelphia runs as he moves to 10-7.

Phillies starter Vance Worley takes the loss to fall to 6-9.
