Luck Participates In NFL "Play 60" Event

Last updated on Wednesday, June 20, 2012

(Indianapolis, IN) - The Indianapolis Colts continue to tinker with the roster with the signing of running back Mwelde Moore on Tuesday.

The nine-year veteran free agent has played for the Minnesota Vikings and the Pittsburgh Steelers. Moore is a versatile back who has rushed for 2,247 yards and six touchdowns in his career while catching 214 passes for 1,875 yards and seven scores. Moore can also return punts, averaging 9.5 yards per return with a pair of touchdowns.

To make room for Moore on the roster, the Colts waived undrafted free agent quarterback David Legree.

New Colts quarterback Andrew Luck made his first community event appearance, joining the team's rookies for a "Play 60" event at the Concord Neighborhood Center in Indianapolis. Luck worked with the more than 100 children in the program and used some of his down time to discuss his immediate future. Luck says he is leaving the negotiations of his first NFL contract to his agent while he focuses on the football side.

Luck and tight ends Coby Fleener and Dwayne Allen remain unsigned, but there is still more than five weeks before the start of training camp. Players must be under contract before they are allowed to participate in training camp.
