Fever Open Home And Home Series With Connecticut

(Uncasville, CT) - The Indiana Fever open a home-and-home series with the Connecticut Sun tonight at the Mohegan Sun Arena.

The Sun are 8-and-2 and hold a half-game lead over Chicago for first place in the WNBA's Eastern Conference.

The Sun are led by former University of Connecticut star Tina Charles. Charles is third in the WNBA in scoring at 20.6 points per game and second in rebounding at eleven boards per contest.

Indiana is in third place in the East, two games behind Connecticut. The Fever are 5-and-3 and snapped a three-game losing streak with an 84-70 win over Chicago last Saturday at Bankers Life Fieldhouse.

Indiana's Tamika Catchings is right behind Charles in the league scoring race, averaging 19.5 points per game for fourth place in the WNBA.

Tonight's game is the second between the Fever and Sun this season. Connecticut beat Indiana 89-81 at The Fieldhouse on June 8th. They will play again in Indianapolis on Thursday night.
