(SOUTH BEND) - Notre Dame forward Tim Abromaitis has been denied a sixth year of eligibility by the NCAA.

The university says Abromaitis will not appeal the decision. He played in just two games during the 2011-12 season before tearing the ACL in his right knee in practice on November 25th.

Abromaitis finishes his college career averaging 13.7 points and 4.8 rebounds per game.

Notre Dame also applied to the NCAA for a sixth year of eligibility for Scott Martin. The university says it has received a decision regarding Martin.
