(CHARLOTTE, NC) - The NASCAR Sprint Cup series qualifies this evening for Sunday night’s Coca-Cola 600 at Charlotte Motor Speedway.
Jimmie Johnson enters the weekend coming off a win in last Saturday night's All-Star Race at Charlotte. The week before, Johnson claimed Hendrick Motorsports' 200th win with his victory at Darlington.
Kevin Harvick is the defending Coca-Cola 600 champion while Matt Kenseth won the last race at Charlotte last October.
Kenseth is second in Sprint Cup points, two behind leader Greg Biffle.
