(MIAMI, FL) - LeBron James scored 32 points and grabbed 15 rebounds to lead the Miami Heat past the Indiana Pacers 95-86 in Game One of their Eastern Conference Semifinal series.
Dwyane Wade added 29 points as the Heat lost Chris Bosh in the second quarter with a lower abdominal injury.
Indiana started well, jumping out to a nine-point lead in the first quarter. Miami chipped away at the lead, getting it down to one point in the second quarter before the Pacers rallied to take a 48-42 advantage to the locker room at halftime.
The Heat finally regained the lead at the 4:29 mark of the third quarter when James hit a pair of free throws to put Miami up 62-61.
The game was tied at 70 at the end of the third and Miami took the lead for good early in the fourth quarter when Wade hit two free throws with 10:47 left to give the Heat a 74-72 lead. Miami pulled away at the end and the nine-point margin of victory was the Heat's largest lead of the game.
David West and Roy Hibbert scored 17 points apiece for the Pacers with West grabbing twelve rebounds and Hibbert finishing with eleven boards. George Hill and Dahntay Jones reached double figures for Indiana, scoring ten points each.
Game Two is Tuesday night in Miami with the series shifting to Indianapolis for Game Three on Thursday.
