(INDIANAPOLIS) - The Indiana Pacers used a dominating performance in the second half to pound the Miami Heat 94-75 in Game Three of their best-of-seven Eastern Conference semifinal series. The Pacers lead two games to one.
The game was tied at 43 at halftime with both teams blowing nine-point leads. The Blue-and-Gold took over in the third quarter, outscoring Miami 26 to twelve in the period.
The lead would grow to 21 in the fourth quarter as Heat coach Erik Spoelstra removed his starters with 2:43 remaining and Indiana up 20.
George Hill led Indiana with 20 points but it was center Roy Hibbert who made the biggest impact, scoring 19 points, grabbing a career-best 18 rebounds and blocking five shots.
Mario Chalmers led the Heat with 22 points with LeBron James adding 20. Dwyane Wade was held to five points of 2-for-13 shooting.
The Pacers outshot Miami 43-percent to 37-percent, but the glaring statistical edge for Indiana came on the boards. The Pacers outrebounded the Heat 52 to 36 with Indiana collecting 16 offensive rebounds.
