(INDIANAPOLIS) - Scott Dixon turned in the fast lap of the day as practice continues at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway.

Dixon's lap of 223.088 miles per hour is the second-quickest of the month.

Rookie Josef Newgarden continued his impressive stretch of practice with a lap of 222.709. Graham Rahal was the only other driver to hit 222 miles an hour yesterday with will Power and Justin Wilson rounding out the top five on the speed chart.

Today is Fast Friday, the final day of practice before tomorrow's run for the Pole. Teams will get additional turbocharger boost for today's practice and this weekend's Time Trials. The boost will be reduced to the normal level for Carb Day and Race Day.

Dragon Racing drivers Sebastien Bourdais and Katherine Legge made their first appearances of the month on the IMS oval. Dragons' change from Lotus engines to Chevrolet was approved, allowing the two to get on the track. Bourdais passed his refresher test, turning in a quick lap of 214.715 miles per hour. Legge completed the first two phases of the Rookie Orientation Program and is expected to complete the final phase today.
