Colts Minicamp Gets Underway

Last updated on Friday, May 4, 2012

(INDIANAPOLIS) - The Indianapolis Colts open a three-day rookie minicamp today at the team’s headquarters.

The Horseshoes' ten draft picks, the 15 rookie free agent signees and selected first-year players will participate in two practice sessions today and tomorrow and one more on Sunday.

The focal point at camp will be number one overall draft choice Andrew Luck. After Luck participates in this weekend's camp, he won't be allowed back into Colts headquarters until he completes his classwork at Stanford in the first week of June.

The Colts announced Thursday that they have come to terms with undrafted free agent safety Latarrius Thomas. Thomas is 6'1", 210 pounds and spent the past two seasons playing at Eastern Michigan after playing his freshman year at Louisville. He missed most of the 2010 season due to injury but came back in 2011 to record 79 tackles and a forced fumble for the Eagles. He is expected to participate in this weekend's minicamp.
