(STANFORD, CA) - The Indianapolis Colts will put Stanford quarterback Andrew Luck through a private workout today at Stanford.
General manager Ryan Grigson, head coach Chuck Pagano, offensive coordinator Bruce Arians, quarterbacks coach Clyde Christensen and vice president of football operations Tom Telesco are expected to make the trip.
Luck is the favorite to be taken by the Colts with the number-one overall pick when the draft gets underway on April 26th. The other candidate for the number-one choice is Baylor quarterback and Heisman Trophy winner Robert Griffin III.
The Colts are coming off a 2-and-14 season which they played without four-time NFL Most Valuable Player Peyton Manning, who was sidelined all season following neck surgery.
In the aftermath of the season, the Horseshoes fired Vice Chairman Bill Polian, general manager Chris Polian, head coach Jim Caldwell and most of Caldwell's coaching staff. The team also parted company with several veteran players, including Manning who was released on March 7th. Manning has since signed with the Denver Broncos.
