(INDIANAPOLIS) - In racing, 34 cars will be going for the 33 starting spots as the entry list for next month's Indianapolis 500 was revealed on Thursday.
Three former 500 winners - Helio Castroneves, Dario Franchitti and Scott Dixon - are on the list as are seven rookies. The latest rookie to be entered is USAC standout Bryan Clauson, who will drive a second car for Sarah Fisher Hartman Racing.
The rookies will begin ROP on May 10th with the track opening to the veterans on May 12th.
The 96th running of the Indianapolis 500 will take place on May 27th.
