Stewart Wins Washed Out Fontana Race

(FONTANA, CA) - Tony Stewart was declared the winner of Sunday’s rain-shortened NASCAR Sprint Cup race at Auto Club Speedway in Fontana, California.

Stewart was in the lead when the race was called after 129 laps, 71 short of the scheduled 200-lap distance.

The defending Sprint Cup champion has won two of the five races this season.

Kyle Busch led a race-high 80 laps and finished second followed by Dale Earnhardt Jr, Kevin Harvick and Carl Edwards.

Greg Biffle remains the points leader with Harvick now seven points back. Earnhardt is third in points, 17 behind Biffle with Stewart now 18 points behind the leader.
