Boilers Fall To Jayhawks In NCAA Tournament

(UNDATED) - In Men’s College Basketball, The Kansas Jayhawks used a 6-0 run in the final minute to get past the Purdue Boilermakers 63-60 to advance to the Sweet 16 of the NCAA Men’s Basketball Tournament.

Elijah Johnson made the big play, stealing the ball from Purdue's Lewis Jackson and going the length of the court for a lay in to give the sixth-ranked Jayhawks a 61-60 lead. Johnson led the Jayhawks with 18 points with Thomas Robinson adding eleven points and 13 rebounds as Kansas improves to 29-and-6 and will face North Carolina State in Friday's Midwest Regional semifinal.

Purdue's Robbie Hummel led all scorers with 26 points, 22 of those coming in the first half. Terone Johnson and DJ Byrd added ten points each as the Boilers finish the season at 22-and-13.
