(DAYTONA BEACH, FL) - Danica Patrick made history yesterday when she became the second female to ever win pole position in NASCAR'S Nationwide series.

Patrick qualified with a speed of 182.741 miles-per-hour, and became the first female driver to capture the pole since Shawna Robinson did it in 1994.

Patrick and Trevor Bayne fill out the first row for tonight's Nationwide race, followed Elliot Sadler and Dale Earnhardt Jr.

Carl Edwards is on-the-pole tomorrow for NASCAR'S first Sprint Cup race of the season, the Daytona 500. Edwards will start next to his Roush Fenway racing teammate, Greg Biffle. Another team member, Matt Kenseth won a qualifying Gatorade Duel Thursday and will start on the outside of row two. The reigning sprint cup champion, Indiana's Tony Stewart, won the other qualifying race, and will start on the inside of row two.

Danica Patrick's car was clipped during the second race Thursday. She slid into the retaining wall and will start 29th tomorrow.
