Last updated on Tuesday, February 14, 2012

(VALPARAISO, IN) - The Valparaiso Crusaders will try and hold on to first place in the Horizon League when they entertain the 3-11 Illinois-Chicago Flames tonight.

If the Crusaders can finish the regular season in first place, they will earn a double-bye and host the entire Horizon League Tournament.

Valparaiso is 11-4 in the league and maintains a half game lead on second place Cleveland State.

The Butler Bulldogs are tied for third place on the league table with a 9-6 record and host the 1-13 Loyola Ramblers tonight.

Freshman Bulldog Roosevelt Jones was named Horizon League Player of the Week for his contributions against Youngstown State and Cleveland State last week.

Valparaiso and Butler end the regular season against each other on February 24th in Valparaiso.

Also tonight, the Indiana State Sycamores are 6-9 in the Missouri Valley Conference and host the 8-7 Illinois State Redbirds.
